For Raenar's Awakening, my role was to translate a high fantasy story into music and sound that could make an imagined world feel authentic and convincing.

The score moves from frozen desolation to full orchestral eruption. Semitone shift from G minor to Ab minor used as a harmonic weapon, mirroring the dragon's violent emergence rather than decoration. The climax cuts through with a full-blown orchestra: driving percussion, choir and piercing soprano and gritty ostinatos. The finisher of the piece drives a deliberate tempo pull which communicates sheer scale, weight and power of the dragon.

Sound design combined library sources with my own custom recordings, including deconstructed vocal layers for the orcs. Some elements were aggressively processed and layered to sit within the narrative rather than on top of it.
